The problems about the picture/text in table for Web, and publishing.
Dear All,
I'm a ordinary technology writer from China, using Arbortext 6.0, I publish the PDF and Webhelp using file(F)-pubilsh(B)-PDF(B) and file(F)-pubilsh(B)-Web(W), and find some questions. My English is not good, and using the Chinese Version, when I reading the Help Documents, I feeling curiously weak and faint 
And I find it's very hard to find something using Chinese about Arbortext Editor and Style...
The following is my quesions:
1.The picture and text in table. I publish the PDF is good, but the Web html is not OK.
Can I using some control, when I using one topic, publish good PDF and good Web html? Using Arbortext Style? How?
2.I publish the PDF and Webhelp using file(F)-pubilsh(B)-PDF(B), I can see the publish engine is APP. But it's strange that when I change a .style file, the publish engine is changed to FOSI. Why? can I choose it?
I see the help document said the APP can't support Web, but I can publish the Web, although the format is not good... I use file(F)-pubilsh(B)-Web(W) to publish Web html, what's the publish engine? (We didn't have PE.)
We don't have enough programs experience, so we want find a simple, crude way to using one topics, publish the PDF and Web html.
Could you give me any tips please? Thank you very very much!!!

Adding an LEP element to a DTD

This might be a simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer. I need to add an LEP element to my DTD. I have tried several time to add it into the DTD, but after I re-complie the DTD nothing is in the element list. I am looking to add it within the para tag

Can I editor the image in Arbortext Editor under the circumstances do not change the picture file?
Dear All,
I have question that we need add some sign (like arrowhead) in the picture, but we didn't want change the picture file.
Can I editor the image in Arbortext Editor under the circumstances do not change the picture file?
In office word, we can add somthing like these, it likes a layers on the original picture.

Can a macro check whether a file exists or not?
I've a macro that works out filenames and then expects to load an illustratiuon with that filename. Would be great if it could pop up a warning if the file isn't found.

No Graphics in Composed PDF
We recently upgraded from Epic 5.4 to Epic 6.0.. The graphics show up in the XML file, but do not show in the composed PDF. Is there a setting I am overlooking? I went back and looked at all of the settings in 5.4 just to check, but everything in 6.0 seemed to be pointing to the right directories. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How to enable lists within tables when importing into Arbortext
I have developed an Import Map Template (MS Word to XML) which does not pick up any lists within tables from the source document. All other lists are correctly recognized. To remedy this issue, I set the "include lists" option in "initial preprocessing options" to true. This resulted in lists within tables being correctly recognized by the Map Template Editor, however when using the Map Template to import the Word file into Arbortext Editor, all lists now restart after every list item.
For example, where you would normally have 10 listitems within an bulleted list, there are now 10 bulleted lists with one listitem each. This error occurs in all lists. I've included screengrabs of how it looks in the source file pane, and then the results in Arbortext Editor. So in summary: For the Map Template to pick up lists within tables, I enabled "include lists". However, now all lists refuse to have more than one listitem.
Any advice on how to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

Convert XML to HTML with Arbortext Editor without opening a windows?

We are running batch routines from the command line to convert XML to HTML. For each document, Arbortext opens, shows the window and closes. Does someone know how to do that in a "hidden" mode without opening and Arbortext session window? Thanks for your help!

How do you center text in Arbortext Editor 5.3?
I can center text using the HTML and XHTML doctypes by editing the attributes but can't seem to do this in SGML or XML based docs like DocBook or any of our custom DTDs. It appears that it is disabled somehow but I don't know where to enable this?
I also tried to solve this by clicking on Format --> Touchup --> Custom Touchup --> Horizontal tab --> Justification = center
Does the solution involve the Styler? DTD? FOSI?

How can I change the default attribute for table, or make a new element?

I have 2 questiones,
(1) when I creat a new topic (the default DITA topic), the table attribute is as the following:
I want change the table attribute, when I add a table element, the defaut table attribute is 3pt.
Can I realize it? Using Arbortext Architect? How?
(2) I want define a new element, using different font, size, or color.
Can I realize it? Using Arbortext Architect? How?
Can you show a simple example, or a guide link? thanks!
I think maybe it's a simple and basic questions because we didn't use Architect before, and interested in it.

Installing DTD and FOSI into Arbortext 5.4
I recently got thrown into XML tagging for Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals. We are required to use a certain DTD and FOSI that I downloaded online but I am not sure how to properly install it into arbortext. The way that I tried immediately threw up flags telling me context rules had been turned off. Can someone please help me. I am a Noob

I'm trying to compose using an XSL stylesheet from the command line but can't seem to get the proper syntax. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on version Arbortext 6x and I believe some of the ACL packages have changed.

How to import MS Word documents to Arbortext Editor
Hi, I may need to import some docs that are written with MS Word to Arbortext Editor in a short future.
The Arbortext Editor we use is a customized version based on Arbortext Editor 5.3. There's no import/export function with the editor. Instead, there's Import Text File function.
I have tried to save one doc as .txt and then use the Import Text File function but that didn't give me much help. It feels like a copy-paste function.
Could you guys give me suggestions about how to make the conversion more efficient or perform an automatic conversion if possible?
