How to break the row when the table across pages?
Dear all,
I'm a noviciate for styler, I meet a question, how to break the row when the table across pages?
I think maybe it's a simple question, because we can set it in word easily. But I can not achieve it in Arbortext, I was a littlefrustrated about it, could you give me any tips please? Thank you very much!
For example:
I want the following, the row can be breaked when the table across pages.
But the reality is the follwing, how to break the row when the table across pages?
We can set it in word, but how to in Arbortext Styler?
DITA, PDF, Arbortext Editor 6.0 with styler.

Make macro for Isodraw CadProcess 7.2 to rename object id & name
How do I create a macro for IsoDraw CadProcess 7.2 to be able to edit the object id of the assembly group and then copy that over to the object name so that both the object id and object name are the same? Also I need to truncate the object id and name to only show the characters to the right of the hyphen.

Public Identifier
Long story short - no one here has used Arbortext for a while. Our server was moved. We reinstalled on two compters. When someone opens a previously created file (6.0 M090) we get: [A15014] Unable to resolve the document type referenced by the public identifier "-//USA-DOD//DTD38784STD-BV7//EN" in the catalog path.
We have two computers that did not need to be reinstalled. All is well on them. That tells me there is something on those two computers that the newly reinstalled computers are not seeing. How do I find what it is, where it is and where to find it? I copied all the doctypes from the working computers to the non-working (I think I got them all - at least all the ones listed on the error message).
Did I mention I am very (very) new to Arbortext? But not totally computer illiterate. Please help me get out of this deadlock.

Macro in Arbortext Editor with Styler
Hello all,
I have been looking for how to create and use macros with ACL fuctions in Arbortext Help centre but it seems it doesn't have much information about it.
I have found the description of each ACL function in "Arbortext Command Language Reference", however, it didin't really say where and how to create .mcf files and where to use it.
Can you please suggest me where to find the information? or give me instruction for how to create and use macros with ACL?

Variables in Arbortext using "keyword" (DITA)
Hi Arbortext experts,
we are working with Arbortext 6.0 M090 and DITA. I tried to work with the keydef-mechanic from DITA, to realize variables in our documents. I wanted to replicate this: http://www.extremetechwriting.com/2012/11/12/using-variables-in-dita/ and then adapt it for our documents.
But it seems, as if Arbortext has problems with keydef. When I add the <keyword> element in the <keywords> element, it doesn’t show up in the map. However, if I save the map and open it with another editor (e.g. notepad ++), the <keyword> element is in the code. Anyway, even if I fix the map directly with notepad++ and add a value to the <keyword>-element, Arbortext cannot insert the key in any topic. The key and its value do show up in the dialogue „insert“ > „key reference“, but it can’t be used. The button „insert“ is deactivated, allthough the cursor is on a valid position.
To maximize confusion: If I add the keyword reference manually in the topic, it neither uses the value from the key, nor the fallback value in <keyword> element in the topic, when processing the map for an output.
Is this a bug or is there a special trick to make keywords work in Arobrtext?

Title and landscaped table and image on the same page?
I have a topic where I would like the image landscaped. We have modified the style sheet to give us this capability by setting outputclass to landscape. I functions and turns the table with the image in it landscape. The issue is that it does not keep it on the same page as the title. Is there an easy way to make this work? See attached files. I can rotate the image in IsoDraw and have the table at the bottom of the image. I think it would look better rotated.

Burst configuration file, location rule for graphic objects
I use an xpath expression in a locrule to store document objects in a variable folder path location. I want to store graphic objects in the same folder as the parent document. But I get an error that says you cannot use xpath when sourcetype=graphic. Is there a way to do this?

Help! I want to keep my title tag but I don't want it to populate in the ToC.
Does anyone know of a way to keep your title tag for a subpara but not have what is entered into the title tag appear in the ToC. Please help!

How to change the default setting for the element?
Dear all,
I met a problem, when I creat a <table> element, the cell margin is 5pt, and the line thickness is 1pt, like the folloing:
The problem is how to change the default setting for the <table> element? Where the primary setting? Can I define it in the stylesheet?
Using APP Source? or add new table element? or...? How?
Also for other default table attribute, such as the row-height, the column-width...
I was troubled by this problem for a long time, but still no clue. Your assistance will be highly appreciated in this regard.

Hello: I have recorded a macro in Arbortext Editor and I would like to customize an icon and place it on my toolbar. I used to do that all the time in ProEngineer but can't seem to find out how to do it in Arbortext. Is it possible?

No print preview window even though preview process complete
We have a user that is trying to generate a print preview using APE (and AE 6.0M060) but is getting no preview window.
She receives the message below the command line that it is publishing and eventually gets the 'Preview processing complete' message, yet no print preview window pops up.
All her environment variables are good, preferences are good, everything appears normal.
Is there a Windows setting that could be blocking it from appearing? Ideas?

Nous rencontrons un problème avec des fichiers contenant des fragments (appel entitée de fichier) en sgml, perte de '<?Pub CX...>' après sauvegarde du fichier englobant.
Y-a-t-il une solution à ce problème pour conserver le contexte ?

IGES import
Hello,
pardon my inexperience. I have very simple question. I can open IGES file from File>Open menu.
BUT if I open the IGES file by doublecliking it, the IsoDraw program opens blank document with nothing imported.
Anybody has an idea what it could be? Users require import of igs by doubleclicking the file.

Unknown element in start tag
I recently submitted my Arbortext Editor file to our stylesheet guru (as I don't have the software to run the stylesheet.) He's made some changes, but now when I open the file, I am getting several error messages stating "unknown element in start tag". This is for over 30 elements that should be standard (docwp, wpno, alist ...etc.) How do I resolve? Sorry if this is a basic question - very new to this software. Thanks!

Can I pass element content to the Description attribute via one way metadata rule?
Hello and Happy New Year to everyone.
I am attempting to use the metadatarule element, as explained in the topic "Using One-Way Metadata" in the Arbortext Content Management Guide, to put the content of the navtitle element into a Windchill table field. I tried several attributes which, I believe, apply to the Dynamic Document type. For example, my XML might look like this:

metadata="description" sourcetype="text"/>
No matter which attribute I try to use (I've tried using both the name and the internal name of the attribute), I get a burst log error like this:
Begin Save As Object for document Document1
Cannot modify the following attributes:
"description"
because they are not defined
Save As Object failed, code -199.
I would prefer to solve this problem than to use my work-around, which is to append the navtitle content to the data I'm already putting in the Name attribute. Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

The Arbortext Editor's icons is missing, why?
Hi,
One of our colleague meet a problem, the Arbortext Editor's icons is missing, but still have button or a black line, you can click it.
When setup the installation package and select "Repair", it will OK. But when using one day or two, the icons missed again.
I think maybe the icons files is lost, why? Is there any programsare not compatiblewith the editor?
