In Arbortext Styler, I am designing a stylesheet from a blank sytle. When I tried to edit GenText and insert the division reference, however, this menu is grey. While I chek the standard stylesheet, the division refernce menu does work. Is there any setting I should do before editing the GenText? Thank you in advance.

IGES import
Hello,
pardon my inexperience. I have very simple question. I can open IGES file from File>Open menu.
BUT if I open the IGES file by doublecliking it, the IsoDraw program opens blank document with nothing imported.
Anybody has an idea what it could be? Users require import of igs by doubleclicking the file.

One of my customer wishes in a first step store his InDesign file in Windchill.
During this first step, we wil put in place the organization, lifecycle and workflow.
In a second step, he wants to use DITA (with Arbortext Editor and Publishing Engine) to manage the content of his documentation.
Who already have an experience with the couple Windchill / InDesign?

Revdates at Graphic Level
Hi everyone,
In one of our new manuals, I’ve been trying to set up our revdates to show up in the LEP and in our footers at the graphic element level. For some reason, our document keeps using the overall revdate for the overall document and not the revdate that is specific to each graphic. Can you help me set up the document where it will use revdates for each graphic instead of the overall revdate?

Opening document object in active window?
This might be a basic question... but how do you open a document object in the active window (open it in Arbortext).
I'm making a call to a REST server requesting an XML file and I'm trying to get it to open in Arbortext.
Code I have so far with the REST request being successful:

Open model tab of AutoCAD drawing
I need some help here gang. I have a few hundred AutoCAD wiring diagrams that I need to convert to CGMs. I am trying to run a batch process to open and export to CGMs and it will do this. The problem I am having that the AutoCAD drawings have multiple layout tabs, I want to open the file in the "Model" tab and export that to the CGM. The macro I have created is opening the "Layout 1" tab and this is not the giving me the whole diagram.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Creating PDF Named Destinations using attribute value - Styler/APP
I need to be able to created destinations in my PDF output that are named based on the value of the ID attribute. In Styler with the APP engine, named destinations are created by creating a hash of the current node's path and then converting it to a string:
$var hash = application.calculateHash( currentNode.getNodePath( 1 ));<>
$var linkName = "links:link" + hash.toString( 16 );<>
I need to be able to control the name of the destination using an attribute (the ID attribute) so that I can link to it from a different PDF document.
Named destinations are different from bookmarks in that they allow you to link to them from an external location (website, PDF file, etc.), and they will open to the specific page of the destination. The link works like this: [filePath]/[pdfFileName]#[namedDestination].
The code specified above is found in the APP library [installPath]\app\libs\APPStyler\app.3ns in multiple locations.
Has anyone worked within Styler OR using the library above to create a customization that support PDF destinations that are named according to an attribute value? Or does anyone have any suggestions for how to do this?

How to split footnotes in Arbortext
I've been trying to get lengthy footnotes to split and run onto the next page's footnote section when outputting to PDF. The reason for this is that I've got footnotes with a lot of text in them, and they are just pushing up the rest of the page's content to the extent that it looks completely unbalanced. By default, Arbortext keeps footnotes on the same page as their references, however I've acquired an APP-template that should enable footnote splitting. Unfortunately it isn't working. I've attached the template to this question. If anyone with APP-template knowledge could take a look and let me know what's missing/incorrect it would be much appreciated!

Preview function request for Pro/E data when "file open" on ISODraw
One of the customer in Korea, they has 2month evaluation license for ISODraw. so they test ISODraw all function before buy it.
They request "preview" function for Pro/Engineer data when "File open" on ISODraw, or "open on ISODraw" function when object select to open on the Pro/Engineer, in this step, "open on ISODraw" menu appear when click right mouse after select object.

How can I restrict the image size in the table and the page?
Dear all,
I met a problem, when I using the styleshhet(.style file) which is customized for publish a document, the image is over the table and the page, but when I change to use the default stylesheet (for example: ditabase.style), it's ok.
But I didn't know how to set the restrictions, could you tell me or give any suggestion?
