Creo Illustrate figures list not displaying images
We have an issue with the Figures list not showing the thumbnail images for one particular user. None of our other users have this problem. Could there be a setting somewhere that is flipped, or a bug? If he opens a .c3di created by someone else, he will get a temporary glimpse of the images, but then they disappear as soon as he starts working. You can imagine the frustration of determining the image you need when you have to click through them all the time. Version 3.1 M010 build 27.

Can I add a Search tab function to Web output using Arbortext 7.0 and publishing engine?
I know I can customize the appearance of the default frameset. However, I really need to have a search capability in addition to TOC and Index - like the one in AE Help System. Is that possible without using DMP - I want to use Web output only?

How do I make an Arbortext macro end with an open dialog box
I want to create a macro that starts where the cursor is, finds a spot in an xml doc, opens the Modify Attributes dialog box, and "tabs" to a certain attribute. I can get to the spot, but the dialog box doesn't open. Not sure how to make that happen. Here's what I have:

Possibly useful context: I'm working with data divided into <section>, and section has a point attribute. I want to populate the point attribute. close the Modify Attributes dialog, then have the macro find the next section element, open the Modify Attributes dialog, and go to the point attribute box, then end the macro, populate the attribute, close the dialog and run the macro again, rinse, repeat.
Any ideas?

Viewing Arbortext metadata in Windchill?
I am trying to find a good way for Reviewers in Windchill to see the "othermeta" data from Arbortext without needing Arbortext. We want them to not only review the deliverables but also the metadata.
Just wondering others may be doing?

[A14123] Arbor Text Session issue
Hi,
We are getting the following alert in Arbor Text when we open multiple files in Arbor Text editor.
Existing window is busy or has an active dialog box.Do you want to start another ArborText editor session?
Earlier this seems to work.but not sure what happened,it suddenly gives the alert as below.

New Problems with Arbortext - Markitx file?
I am a DoD Arbortext v6.0 user. All AT files are uploaded to local server (G: drive). We recently upgraded to Windows 10. I had never had an issue with AT until then. Now, I have the following errors:
When trying to open the SGML file:

I have co-workers trying to help...no avail. I have full read/write access to everywhere the files may be stored, including desktop.
All attempts to open any SGML files end up with same results, not just this one.
Others with AT have no problem opening these files, even from the same directory.
Active directory is my desktop.
I would list the troubleshooting steps I have performed already, but there have been literally dozens, and I can't remember them all. I am not a computer wiz (pretty obvious by this point, I'm sure) but IT can't help, either.
Some attempts have resulted in errors regarding the declaration file (???). Others say I don't have access, but when I am granted access, the end result is always the same. It has been several weeks of trial and error with no solution found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unanswered questions
I'm new to this Arbortext Community, and Arbortext in general, and this isn't a question, merely an observation. I'm discouraged by the number of questions that appear to be unanswered. With all the "users" on this page, why isn't there a larger push to help other users? I and can't provide much insight or help to others, but my question hasn't been answered, either, and I can't believe that everyone else here is a noob like me.
Moderators? Experts? Where are you when your peasants need you?

How to open an XML file created by Arbortext Editor in FrameMake?
Hi,
Is it possible to open and edit XML files created by Arbortext Editor in FrameMaker and use the same file in Arbortext Editor again?
Will there be a change in the structure? What are the requirements ?

arbortext 7 datamerge
Since Arbortext Editor 7.0 upgraded to JAVA 1.8 which does not support odbc:jdbc bridges datamerge has been deprecated. I am wondering what kind of solutions anyone has found in terms of a workaround to use datamerge queries and databases that were set up and working with previous versions of arbortext editor? I attempted switching editor back to a JAVA 1.7 that still supports odbc:jdbc and seemed sucessful in getting Editor to load with 1.7 but have still not been able to get a datamerge to function, not even on the demo.

"editor.exe Unexpected error: Pure virtual function was called" Came across this error while opening Arbortext Editor 5.4. What the reason could be.
Received editor.exe Unexpected error: Pure virtual function was called message while checking in a specific topic. Also got debug message window: Wrote message to c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\temp\editor.dmp.
Could someone let me know the cause for this error.

Arbortext issue working with tables delete only works on single row
In Arbortext Editor Release 6.0 r60m070
In a table with a single column, selecting multiple rows and trying to delete the multiple rows results in only a single row being deleted.
The problem can be verified as follows:
1. Create a New Topic.
2. Add a table with 5 rows and 1 column.
3. Select the bottom 3 rows.
4. Right click and from the Delete option select Row. This does not delete the selected rows.
How can I fix this??
